Take a break – as a carer your health and wellbeing is important too.
How we can help
Caring for someone can be very rewarding and it can also be demanding and tiring work – both physically and emotionally.
It is important that family carers take time off to have a break and to look after their own health and wellbeing. This can happen through respite care.
Our respite care is a form of support for carers. It can be for as little as a few hours a day, to provide the opportunity to attend to everyday activities, meet up with friends or have some quality time and have a very important break from the caring role.
Our respite care can be provided:
- at any time during the day or evening
It can also be provided for longer periods such as when family members need to take a well-earned break or go on holidays.
Respite care can also be a positive experience for the person receiving care. It also provides assurance that they are being professionally cared for and in safe hands.
Our service can be used on an as-needs basis. We respect each client as an individual and honour confidentiality at all times.
We provide knowledge and expertise to remove the stress from families. Our qualified and professional nurses, carers and companions are experienced in providing respite care and focus on making the transition to requiring some help a smooth and easy process.
We are contactable 24 hours a day 7 days a week to provide the following services:
